Local marketplace fees: what is actually documented
A marketplace can be free to browse or list while still charging for promotion, certain categories, shipping, or payment services. Compare the exact exchange you plan to make and verify the current terms before posting.

OfferUp says in-person transactions carry no commission.

Cheapest is not always the right question
For a local marketplace, audience liquidity, category fit, trust signals, and pickup convenience may matter more than a zero-dollar listing fee.
Avoid false fee comparisons
Do not compare an in-person listing fee with a shipped transaction fee or paid promotion. They are different services and may have different protections.
ListingOS's model
ListingOS provides coordination tools and leaves the transaction to the members. That keeps the product boundary simple, but it also means ListingOS does not provide payment protection, escrow, shipping support, or transaction mediation.
